Roger Guy English Comedy Video Cover

Roger Guy English is a San Diego icon. No, an American icon. He claims to have broken several world records, but I have yet to check on the validity of these claims. He once registered his car on an indian reservation so he could avoid US laws while driving. I believe he went to jail for this, or maybe it was something else. Point is, nobody can talk all night about conspiracy theories and ways to stick it to the man like Roger.

He owned a video store, Roger’s Video, that consisted of a small closet behind a liquor store in Pacific Beach complete with a handmade tacky cardboard sign he had handcrafted during one of his all-nighters. Did I mention the videos he rented were all bootlegs? Some of which had his own custom version of the MGM intro in the form of Roger growling like the lion. Speaking of not sleeping, he was seen one night by my roommate at 3:30 am wearing an “I’ll sleep when I’m dead.” shirt and applying adhesive wood paneling to his native registered car.

It was an honor to work on the cover for Roger’s homemade comedy video.
