Love is War

Give her the ring and pull the pin. Love can be a long battle and we’ve all earned our share of purple hearts. This graphic was created for women’s apparel for APB Clothing and was used in several different applications, from t-shirts and hoodies, to added to cut-and-sew garments and hats. A couple years after I designed this, Green Day introduced their own version of the heart grenade for the cover of their album American Idiot. I wonder if their artist was inspired by this? Either way, the thought is universal.
