One of my photos on thirty billboards in San Diego
All Star Glass has thirty billboards up right now using one of my photos. The image includes my niece Makayla, but don’t let the mock miss fool you. She’s a stud softball player! This photo of the billboard was taken at State and Kalmia St. The streak of light in the sky is a plane landing at Lindbergh Field.

1.6 Million Australians will be meeting my Google Bot this Sunday as it was chosen as the publication’s cover relating to their article on Google. Good Weekend was allowed access to both Google HQ as well as several of the executives and I’m looking forward to reading what they have to say. It’s an honor that out of thousands of examples of Google’s logo, mine was chosen for the number one spot. I’ve included the article here for my friends outside Australia: If you want to find out something these days, you Google it. But being the planet’s go-to search...

Red Tide is caused by dinoflagellates. These phytoplankton turn the water red in the daytime, hence the term red tide, but at night is a completely different story. The whitewash from larger waves explodes in bursts of neon blue that is absolutely amazing. These photos were both taken around midnight tonight at South Torrey Pines State Beach. Lifeguard Tower 3 at Torrey Pines State Beach Nothing says romance like a natural oceanic light show. The moon setting in red smog during the fire season mixed with red tide creates stark contrast to that fluorescent blue in San Diego...

This one is of Bird Shit Rock, AKA Reeds Rock. My dad and I used to surf here from time to time so it was kind of cool to go down and take a trip down memory lane. This photo was taken just past noon so in order for me to have such a long exposure I stacked two Neutral Density filters including my 10 stop BW. I’m going to write a review on this filter in the next few weeks. I absolutely love the added possibilities it gives...

There would be perfect surf! After weeks of work, my new painting is finished. This is arguably the longest time I’ve spent on one project. I don’t think some of my large wall murals have taken this long to complete.

I was able to get a couple pics before my camera took a tragic fall off an eight foot ledge into some sand. All I can do is hope it wasn’t too bad. It was not a good day for me.

The video game I worked on is now out on iPhone and iPad and coming soon to Android. Word Micester is a word puzzle game that’s extremely fun and addicting. There are three modes of play: In “Blueprints Mode” you must help Sydney the mouse create word chains and clusters to uncover ways into the cheese labs. In “Evade Mode” you help Sydney bypass the newly discovered lab security by creating words as fast as you can, and in “Decode Mode” you liberate the cheeses you’ve unlocked in Evade Mode by unscrambling the passwords. The more difficult the...

It’s taken some time to go through the thousands of photos I took over nine days in Italy. It’s amazing how many inspired scenes can be found around every corner in this country. This trip focused on Northern Italy including Milan, Como, Florence, Chianti, and Lucca and I can’t wait to go back and explore the southern spots. Hopefully next year. Arne Holt from Caffe Calabria and I arrived in Milan to a crisp, cold temperature, which was quite a shock. Much of this city is cold and industrial, artistic in it’s own right, but not what I was looking for to incorporate...

The next time we see the Na Pali coastline will be by boat. I’ll hopefully post more images tomorrow. I was pretty happy to see my version of the Google logo lumped in with a small collection of other ones on the first page that comes up on Google’s recent code switch. This story can be found on Reuters here.
